Another Cherokee view of Elizabeth Warren's claims to Cherokee ancestry.
I found this article written by a gentleman that supports Elizabeth Warren. The site is Indian Country Today Media Network.
For the sake of full discolsure the gentleman admits this:
I contributed to Elizabeth Warren's campaign before and after her opponent nominated her for inclusion, so feel free to consider these remarks biased for that reason........I contributed because I believe Elizabeth Warren holds promise to be the most effective representative of the 99% to serve in Congress in my generation. But if she has traded on a fake Indian identity, I certainly would think less of her.

"The demographics are not on our side."
Can the GOP go on being perceived as the paleface party given the rumblings about immigration and such? Like him or hate him, Pat Buchanan is fond of saying "The demographics are not on our side." As usual, Pat's paleo-conservatives are bereft of any solution. Ranting about illegal immigration is clearly beside the point.
The most recent data from the U.S. Census shows that minority births outpaced those of European descent for the first time.
By leaning restrictionist on immigration, the GOP faces a dim future. It won't matter much that Hispanics are "socially conservative." They have proven time and time again that they will vote their economic interests and that social democracy is where they will rest their aspirations. The Cubans won't make up for any difference (even their knee-jerk opposition to trade with Cuba is growing stale.) The Democrats, of course, will play along with the dismal policies that make problems worse. But even they will bend their rules for cheap labor and valuable votes.

Tech Review: Jeff Semon (5th Congress) and... NationBuilder!
The next candidate in my ongoing series of web technology reviews is Jeff Semon, a Republican running for the 5th U.S. Congressional District, currently occupied by Congressman Ed Markey (who has the worst campaign website I have ever seen at the national level).
Jeff is the first major MassGOP candidate to choose the NationBuilder platform for his site - a revolutionary and inexpensive suite of tools for campaigns and RTCs. NationBuilder is is a game-changing organizing tool that is so good that you need a reason not to use it.

Bring me this fly..................
For years I have wondered where this fly comes from and what it knows about our government. Bring me this fly...
It is on Biden's head today in Ohio:

Same-sex marriage not "settled law"
Scott Brown has had a terse response regarding same-sex marriage ever since his Senate race, saying it is "settled law" and should be left up to the states. Apparently he is worried about his re-election chances if he says he thinks same-sex marriages should be voided by a Federal Marriage Amendment like Romney is saying, who doesn't plan to win Massachusetts anyhow. But there is a way he could bridge the aisle and take charge, instead of trying to duck away.
He could go back to his old position, the one that energized the base and got him to the Senate, being for traditional marriage and opposed to same-sex marriage, while also proposing a way to improve the lives of same-sex couples in Massachusetts by giving full federal recognition to their relationships, by changing them to Civil Unions defined as "marriage minus conception rights."
The debate about whether to allow same-sex couples to try to conceive offspring together using artificial gametes is certainly not "settled law" - we haven't even begun to discuss it! It needs to be prohibited ASAP, the benefits of prohibiting it are immediate and significant, as are the costs of leaving it legal.
