Bridgewater GOP Chair Honored for Service

Bill Rivers was honored for his years of service to the Republican Party by the Plymouth County GOP at their annual awards breakfast on February 11th. State Representative Angelo D'Emilia introduced Bill to the crowd and presented him with a citation from the Massachusetts House of Representative as well as certificate from the Plymouth County GOP.
Bill Rivers lives in Bridgewater where he is actively engaged in politics at the town and state levels. He currently serves as Chairman of the Bridgewater Republican Town Committee and is a Trustee with the Bridgewater Public Library. He is campaign manager for State Representative Angelo D’Emilia as he was in 2010 when Angelo was first elected to office. Bill was the local Senate District Captain for Charlie Baker’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign, and has consulted and volunteered on numerous other campaigns.
Prior to staying home with his two children, Liam and Cate, Bill held multiple positions in IT and politics, including serving as Legislative Director for State Senator Bob Hedlund and working for the Massachusetts Republican Party. It's not all politics for Bill as he has volunteered as a Big Brother and twice completed the Boston Marathon as a charity runner for Big Brothers of Massachusetts Bay. Currently, Bill is training to complete the Patriot half-Iron man triathlon in the summer.
